Remember The Cries [Day 1]

Love does not want this body, nor this mind:
it seeks the silence which does not remember
the curdling scents of lust, lust, lust, too blind
to cater for the red mesh, red goo, red blur
of a whisper of “no, no, not today, not ever,

Love does not want this body, nor this mind:
it neither speaks nor persists in tangible lies
like the Gods that never deemed it fit to find
their children: stolen, bruised or buried alive
in a fearful cry of “help, help, please, help,

Love does not want this body, nor this mind:
it wants a bed of roses: thorns covering its sides,
the red no longer red, just plain white to remind
our faith, the comfort and truth of forgotten cries
with a muffled “hello. nice to meet you. goodbye.

  1. To my ear, your quickly moving rhythm makes me think of breathless utterances. What happens between two people, the feelings, is indecipherable beyond all question of appearance and mind.

Thank you for liking my poem and for following me!
