I had seen her with
her hair tied up in
a bun, while she
soaked in the sun
which was clouded
by most of her humble
thoughts of how
beautiful the sky looked.
You had seen her with
her hair straightened
and lips coloured of
her favourite colour
and a dainty dress to
soothe your eyes just
like hers did when she
saw the sky.
But, I do admit we
both saw what she
planned on our eyes
to see. Her smile
and a glow so radiant
it enhanced the snow,
and all of that, was never
too complicated.
She was simple, and
it was all you and I
needed to be.
It’s beautiful– the complex simplicity you filled in your readers with.
Kind Regards,
-Naima
